Go for the whole wheat option with grains because it is loaded with fiber and other great nutrients for your body. The white and bleached version strips all the nutrients.
If you don’t want to make your own red sauce find a red sauce with 5 ingredients or less. That is the rule of thumb for all packaged, caned, bottled foods you buy. Also, look out for the culprit sugar in your ingredients. Sugar sneaks into a lot of foods under different names.

What to do:

• Add your own spices into the sauce like Red chili flakes like the recipe below suggests.
• Add veggies to this dish by roasting or steaming some veggies. Roasting root veggies, sweet potatoes and squash with a little olive oil and salt is a great addition to many meals.
The prep for this meal should be under 15 minutes so this is great for families or anyone who doesn’t want to spend an hour cooking!
